How to Get a Wastewater Treatment License in the State of Arkansas

Anyone in the state of Arkansas who has any part of running a wastewater treatment plant must have a wastewater treatment license. There are varying degrees of licenses requiring different amounts of schooling and expertise. The basic Industrial Wastewater License requires a high school diploma or GED or the licensee must be 25 years old with six years of experience in the industry. Most of the training to get a license is free through the Arkansas Rural Water Association, with a fee for the license, testing and two-year renewals.
