Determine your eligibility. In order to obtain a GED in the State of Utah, you must be at least 17 years of age and not currently enrolled in any school.
Visit the Utah State Office of Education web site and find a testing center in your area.
Visit the testing center of your choosing and sign up to take your GED test on the next available testing day. You will need to pay a $55 fee and present a legal government ID, such as a state ID or driver's license.
Prepare for your test. The state of Utah offers a free service called GED on TV, which allows you to study interactively from the comfort of your home using your television. The Utah Office of Education web site has a broadcast schedule for available networks and times.
Show up at your testing location at the scheduled time and take your test. In order to pass, you must achieve a score of at least 410 on each section, with an overall average score of 2,250.
