How to Post a Notice at the University of Washington

Whether you're looking for a roommate, trying to find a part-time job or advertising a college club activity, one route to consider is to place a notice on any of the bulletin boards spread across the University of Washington campus. Be it in the Health Sciences Center or in any of the UW Tower buildings, you'll have to follow university policies. In most cases, you'll need to get approval from the supervisor of the particular building in which you want to post before displaying on a University of Washington bulletin board.

Instructions

    • 1

Familiarize yourself with the University of Washington posting policies, which generally prohibit commercial solicitations and political or religious announcements unless from a UW-sponsored organization. Gather up the flyers, posters or notices you wish to post.

    • 2

Take them to the management office in the particular University of Washington building where you want to display your signs and indicate the location you want to display them and the duration. Contact your department floor coordinator in the UW Tower buildings to assist in your residence-hall promotional needs or send requests for those buildings to [email protected].

    • 3

Obtain the necessary building management stamp on each of your flyers before posting anything on bulletin boards. Avoid taping or tacking the notices directly onto walls, which is explicitly prohibited in all buildings because it can damage paint and the walls themselves. Use a stapler to attach notices to UW bulletin boards.
