    • American University (AU) is a private, coed, liberal arts college with a Methodist affiliation. According to American.edu, this institution is known for its political activism. The Princeton Review has twice recognized American University students as the most politically active in the nation. This institution employs 591 full-time faculty members.     Corcoran College of Art and Design

    • In 1878, William Wilson Corcoran donated enough funding to establish the Corcoran College of Art and Design. Corcoran College of Art and Deign is a private institution that offers several degree programs, including Bachelor of Fine Arts degrees in Digital Media Design, Fine Art Photography and Graphic Design. This college also offers Master of Arts degrees in Art Education and Interior Design. 2010 enrollment is around 590 students.
