Pick up bags of salad. Bagged salads can help you create many quick and delicious meals in your dorm room. Start with the salad as the base and add in any extra ingredients, like lean meats and extra vegetables. Top the salad with low calorie dressing.
Prepare low-sodium canned soups. If you have a microwave or hot plate in your dorm room, make healthy and delicious soups.
Utilize an indoor grill. If you have a small indoor grill, like the George Foreman grill, you can make many healthy meals. Grill chicken or make grilled cheese sandwiches using low-fat cheeses.
Cook pasta in your microwave. Mix together water, pasta and a pinch of salt. Microwave until the water starts boiling and the pasta has softened. Heat up a jar of tomato sauce to add to the pasta.
Make healthy snacks. Store plenty of yogurt, fruit and granola in your dorm fridge. Combine these ingredients to make healthy snacks on the go. If you have a blender, you can make smoothies as well.
