Explain your situation as an internal transfer student and that you would like to transfer from the School of Engineering and Applied Science to another school on campus -- Columbia College, for example. Ask the administrator about transcript information or course permissions you may need to obtain -- especially if you are transferring in the middle of a school year.
Log in online and visit the Transfer Admissions page for the Columbia University Admissions website. Click on the "Application Instructions" tab on the right side of the page. Read all instructions -- and review any notes from speaking with college administration officials -- before completing the application.
Return to the Transfer Admissions page. Click the "Online Application" to complete and submit The Common Application. While students transferring from outside academic institutions fill out this form, internal transfer students must also complete this application as well.
