Accredited Aviation Colleges

Aviation colleges offer degree programs in many areas, including science, management, technology, air traffic control and business administration. Your degree from an accredited aviation school can lead to a career as a pilot, scientist, airline manager, airport manager or mechanic. Each school may have accreditation from one or more agencies, depending on programs offered.
  1. Embry Riddle Aeronautical Universtiy

    • Embry Riddle has campuses in Daytona Beach, Florida, and Prescott, Arizona, where students can live while attending classes. The University also offers online programs in various areas. At Embry Riddle, you can obtain associate, bachelor, master and even doctoral degrees in many aviation disciplines, including science, aeronautics, business, electronics and engineering. The University is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and has a long history, having been founded in 1925.

    Arizona State University

    • ASU's school of Technology and Innovation hosts its aviation programs, where you can obtain Bachelor of Science (BS) degrees in aviation management for both managers and pilots, as well as air traffic management. Once enrolled, you will have access to flight, air traffic, and-- according to the University's website--one of only three university altitude simulators in the United States. ASU partners with the Mesa Air Group and the Phoenix Airport in order to provide hands-on experience. The Aviation Accreditation Board International, or AABI, accredits ASU's School of Aviation.

    University of North Dakota

    • UND's School of Aerospace Sciences offers Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degrees with concentrations in aviation or airport management, as well as Bachelor of Science degrees in aeronautics with concentrations in air traffic control (ATC), commercial aviation, flight education, and flight technology management. The School of Aerospace Sciences offers simulators as well as its own fleet of training aircraft. UND's BBA degrees are accredited by the American Assembly of Collegiate Schools of Business and the Commercial and ATC degrees are accredited by the Aviation Accreditation Board International.

    Kansas State University at Salina

    • Kansas State University's School of Aviation has three operating runways as well as 40 aircraft in its training fleet. You can obtain associate and bachelor degrees in aviation maintenance as well as degrees appropriate for commercial pilots. Hands-on work will qualify you for Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) required certifications in both areas. The FAA and the Aviation Accreditation Board International accredit KSU's programs.
