The University of Cambridge is one of the best educational institutions in the world and is ranked among the top ten globally, according to the QS World University Rankings (2010). Cambridge is a "collegiate" university, meaning that, as well as various faculties and departments in different academic subjects, it is also comprised of a number of Colleges, 29 to be exact. Financial support for UK/EU students is available; international students have to prove they are capable of paying tuition as there will be no room to work and pay your way through this college.

This means smaller classes and more personal attention. It boasts a vast and internationally diverse staff and student body. McGill University was founded in 1821 and is the oldest university in Montreal. It is probably one of the best-known college institutions in Canada, with two campuses and many US citizens in its student body of 36,000.
