Autocad Training Schools

Autodesk Inc.'s AutoCAD is a type of computer aided design program, and it allows you to create 3-D and 2-D models and drafts. If you want to make designs using this program, you need the proper training, which you can obtain at AutoCAD training schools.     • The Pittsburgh Technical Institute's School of Design offers a CAD course in mechanical and architectural drafting. This is a 24-month program, and you must finish a three-month internship to complete the program. You receive an associate of science degree in computer aided drafting when you complete this program. Coursework includes learning how to do drafting work and learning how to use AutoCAD. The school has a career services department to help you find both an internship and a job after you graduate. PTI started operations in 1946, and it's located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

    CADD Train

    • CADD Train school offers a master of AutoCAD certificate, which requires you to complete 256 hours of training, and you can use these hours for 25.6 continuing education units. You learn at your own pace, and all courses are online courses. You receive all of your training material, videos, and lectures from the company, and you receive a DVD of the material. Or, you can download the material from the company's website. To take these courses, you must either have a Windows computer or a Mac computer running Windows, and 2GB of RAM for 2-D modeling and 3GB of memory for 3-D modeling.

    Horn Drafting

    • The Horn Drafting and CAD Center is located on Houston, Texas, and it started in 1982. This school focuses on AutoCAD training, including learning how to draft and learning about mechanical, structural and electrical drafting. The owner, Anthony Horn, teaches all of the classes, and he restricts the classes to 15 students. You learn both in a classroom setting and in a hands-on computer laboratory. Courses range from five to 10 weeks.

    CDM Institute

    • The CDM Institute offers a CAD drafting technology certificate program, and this is an 825-hour course. The goal of this program is to produce entry-level CAD drafters. The CDM Institute has campuses in Delaware and New Jersey, and the school has financial aid available to students, including work-study programs and grants. The school offers night, day, and weekend classes. The CAD course teaches you how to create technical drawings and how make produce different types of products.
