Ophthalmologist Schools

Getting the training necessary to become an ophthalmologist is a long and competitive road. To become an ophthalmologist, you need to graduate from an accredited medical school and obtain a medical license. Graduates then must enter an internship or residency program in ophthalmology. A residency typically takes three years to complete and focuses on medical and surgical eye care.
