Whether you want to work as a casino dealer, in casino customer relations, or as a casino manager, it's tough to get your foot in the door without the right education. A casino school, regardless of the particular focus, will not only give you the knowledge to become established in the field, but will give you a certificate or degree stating your educational accomplishment.

    • The Casino College focuses on dealer training in a variety of common casino games such as blackjack, poker and roulette. This school has eight different training locations from California to Detroit and even one in Singapore. The Casino College has programs that will train you in a game in as little as two weeks, so you can get started with your career in no time. The college offers enrollment packages that include hotel accommodations, for those who live too far from any of the training locations.

    Jack Black Casino Dealer School

    • The Jack Black Casino Dealer School, located in Colton, California, specializes in dealer training for all kinds of casino games. The school is open day and night, to accommodate all kinds of schedules, and is open on the weekends in some circumstances. The Jack Black Casino Dealer school emphasizes one-on-one training and will assist you in every step of your casino application process. The school's website states that 97% of its students pass their first casino audition.

    Crescent School of Gaming and Bartending

    • The Crescent School of Gaming and Bartending has four locations, three on the gulf coast and one in Las Vegas. The Crescent School starts new gaming classes every Monday and offers two types of classes: a 336-hour course focusing on two individual games; and a 750-hour course focusing on a five types of games. The Crescent School will instruct you in Blackjack, Poker, Roulette, Craps and Mini-Baccarat. Once you have graduated from the school, you are welcome back at any time to practice in the facilities or take refresher courses free of charge.

    University of Massachusetts Online

    • The University of Massachusetts' UMassOnline program offers a certificate in casino management. This certificate requires you to complete five courses covering general casino management, casino products, event management, club management and gaming policy. The University of Massachusetts is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges. Interested applicants should have a high school degree or a General Equivalency Diploma (GED). Because this is not a degree granting program, there is no financial aid available for this certificate.

    Kendall College

    • The Kendall College School of Hospitality offers a B.A. in Hospitality Management with a concentration in casino management. The casino management courses will instruct you in gaming operations, events and event marketing, design, modern tourism, the global economy and legal issues in hospitality. Kendall College is located in Chicago, Illinois, but does offer a hybrid online/weekend program where you only need to be there in person on select Saturdays each quarter.
