Miami Dade College offers an Associate's of Science degree in nursing. The School of Nursing at the college provides the education and training necessary for students to complete the registered-nursing licensure exam. Students have the opportunity to gain clinical experience in local hospitals and health-care facilities.
Courses are available in the classroom and online. The program options offered at the School of Nursing consists of three tracks: generic, bridge and accelerated. The generic track option allows students to attend school full or part time for a traditional two year degree. The bridge option allows current health-care professionals, such as licensed practical nurses (LPNs), the opportunity to train to become a registered nurse. The bridge option is offered both full time and part time. The accelerated track is full time and is designed for students who hold a bachelor's or advanced degree and wish to become a registered nurse within one year.

The College of Nursing at the University of Florida is nationally recognized for its education and research programs. The school offers students access to other prestigious institutes at the University of Florida, including the Genetics Institute, Shands Cancer Center and the Institute on Aging.
There are several program options at the university that prepare students for registered nursing careers and beyond. The Bachelor's of Science in Nursing offers traditional and accelerated program tracks. There is a Master of Science in Nursing designed to prepare existing nurses for greater responsibilities including midwifery and careers as nurse practitioners. The university has an advanced nursing education program that allows graduates to earn a Ph.D. in nursing. Courses are available on campus or online, and clinical experience is offered with each program.

Barry University offers a health-care education for students interested in nursing careers. There are several programs offered at Barry. Completion of the Bachelor of Science in Nursing provides students with the education necessary to become a registered nurse.
