    • The Anthem Institute in New York City is part of a multi-campus career institute network. The New York City campus offers a diploma program in medical assisting. Anthem trains students in basic anatomy and physiology, as well as ensuring that all graduates from Anthem are certified in CPR. In addition to basic office procedures, students at Anthem receive hands-on training in medical assisting techniques such as electrocardiography, injections, and urinalysis. Once classroom training has been complete, students must complete an unpaid 256-hour externship.
