    Austin Community College

    • Austin Community College is another option for nursing programs in the Austin area. The school offers two medical degree programs including an Associate in Nursing degree and a vocational nursing program. Students who complete the vocational nursing program are eligible to become a licensed licensed vocational nurse (LVN) or licensed practical nurse (LPN).

      Students who graduate with an Associate in Nursing degree are eligible to become a licensed registered nurse (RN). Both programs are accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission and are approved by the Texas Board of Nursing.

    Austin State University

    • The Richard and Lucille DeWitt School of Nursing at Austin State University is accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission and is approved by the Texas Board of Nursing. The school offers a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree and an RN to BSN online transition program. Courses include subjects such as pathophysiology, introduction to nursing and basic nursing care of adult clients.
