International Nursing Schools

International nursing schools are accredited college nursing programs that address the health challenges facing the international community. Nurses trained in the field of international nursing typically receive a specialized education that helps them meet the health needs of under-served populations like those in third-world countries. A degree or certificate from an accredited school of international nursing can take you around the globe.

    Alderson-Broaddus College

    • Alderson-Broaddus College, located in Philippi, W.V., is a lesser-known college with an international nursing program influenced by the college's Christian heritage. Founded in 1932 with the fusion of two older institutions of higher education, Alderson-Broaddus College has the notion of service at its core, and this service-oriented mindset spills over into its nursing program. ABC's nursing school has entered into a partnership with Arellano University in the Philippines, to help meet the shortage of nurses in the international community. ABC's location in West Virginia makes it an ideal training ground for this international initiative because students have the opportunity to provide health care to the under-served communities in rural Appalachia. Alderson-Broaddus currently offers the Bachelor of Science degree in nursing and international nursing.
