Part of the Lincoln Group of Schools, Nashville Auto-Diesel College has trained professionals in the automotive service industry for more than 90 years. Training is provided by Automotive Service Excellence-certified (ASE) instructors.
The school offers a complete auto and diesel shop, along with a collision repair and refinishing facility. Degree programs are available in a number of fields, including automotive technology, collision repair, diesel and high-performance vehicles. Students may choose from an associate of applied science degree, associate of occupational studies degree or a diploma program. Tuition costs vary, depending on the program of study and degree level. Students attending Nashville State Community College have the opportunity to earn an associate of applied science degree in automotive technology. This program can be completed in approximately two years if the student takes classes on a full-time basis.
The automotive technology program works in partnership with both General Motors and local automotive dealerships so students can participate in hands-on training throughout their studies. Courses include automotive brakes, suspension and steering, automotive electricity, transmissions, engines, climate control and electronics.
As of 2010, tuition costs at Nashville State Community College are $118 per credit hour for in-state students and $487 per credit hour for out-of-state students. The college offers financial aid opportunities.

The Nashville campus of the Tennessee Technology Center gives students the opportunity to earn a number of degrees related to the automotive industry. Course are offered through the center's Transportation, Distribution and Logistics department. Students may choose from automotive technology, aviation maintenance, collision repair and truck driving. In addition, the school offers an automotive technology educational program that combines classroom education and hands-on training, via local dealerships and service shops.
