Diesel Automotive Schools

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics estimates that the demand for diesel service technicians will increase by around 6 percent from 2008 through 2018. Entry into the field of diesel automotive technology often requires post-secondary education or a formal apprenticeship. A small number of training schools across the United States offer degree and certificate programs in diesel repair and service, preparing students for careers as diesel mechanics through classroom lectures and hands-on experience working with real diesel engines.
