Hair Salon Schools

The hair salon schools in the United States generally offer a cosmetology program that prepares students for a career in hairstyling, aesthetics, makeup application and nail care. Programs vary in length but all adhere to the individual State's certification requirements which range between 1,200 and 1600 hours. Most programs are offered on both a full and part time basis and allow students to complete the curriculum in as little as three months in intensive study or up to two years on a part time basis.
