Automotive Schools in Georgia

The Technical College System of Georgia encompasses more than 30 colleges throughout the state that are designed to prepare students for careers in technology and industry. Many of these colleges offer degrees in automotive repair or technology, allowing students to embark on careers as mechanics and automotive specialists.
  1. Albany Technical College

    • Albany Technical College's collision repair program prepares students to work in car dealerships, body shops and industrial motor pools as collision technicians. The program focuses on repairing automobile (car and truck) bodies and frames, and includes hands-on work in the school's collision lab. This program is designed to be completed within 15 months of full-time study.

      The diesel equipment technology program takes 24 months for a full-time student to complete. The program focuses solely on diesel engines and equipment, preparing students to work with trucks and other pieces of heavy equipment that run on diesel fuel.

      The automotive technology program teaches students to repair automotive systems, including electronics and mechanical parts. Students in this program become brake, transmission, heating and cooling, computer and engine specialists. This program takes 24 months for a full-time student to complete.

    Columbus Technical College

    Chattachoochee Technical College
