The program prepares students for entry-level careers in automotive service and repair.     DeKalb Technical College

    • DeKalb Technical College in Clarkston, Georgia, 20 miles east of downtown Atlanta, offers an Associate of Applied Science in Automotive Technology degree. The two-year program requires basic and advanced courses in automotive mechanics through classroom lectures and hands-on practicums. Before graduation, students complete two automotive tech internships. If they want to enter the workforce sooner, there is also a diploma program for automotive technology that requires the same occupational courses as the associate program but not as many core academic courses. DeKlab Technical College also offers Technical Certificate of Credit programs in a variety of automotive areas.
