Pierpont offers a wide selection of specialized programs for those seeking a career path that is more focused on entering the job market than on spending several years in classrooms. The college's School of Health Careers provides education and training in technical fields, including veterinary technology, respiratory therapy and several assistantship careers. Other students can pursue training in design, aviation maintenance and information systems technology at the School of Business, Aviation and Technology. The skill sets available in the School of Human Services cover numerous bases (see Resources), including specialized programs, such as homeland security, museum studies and event management.
Potential students interested in the programs at Pierpont should review the admissions requirements page on the school's website (see Resources). The minimum criteria are a high school diploma, a GED or minimum scores on placement tests such as the ACT and SAT, in addition to immunization records and a completed application.
Students can apply online by visiting the admissions login site (see Resources). The site requires the user to create a basic profile and provide an e-mail address. This enables the school to easily notify the potential student of the results after the application has been submitted and reviewed. Alternatively, students can request a paper application by reaching the admissions office at 304-367-4892 or via e-mail at [email protected].
