The radiologic technology program at Labette Community College confers an associate degree in applied science at the end of 23 months of study. Before applying, applicants must request an application from the program, schedule an interview with an admissions advisor, schedule a tour of the clinical facilities and set up an appointment to take the college’s Evolve Admission Assessment Exam. The application packet must include a personal statement of intent, two letters of recommendation, high school and previous college transcripts, signed confidentiality form and submission to a background check. Once admitted, students must then provide immunization records. Applications are due April 1 of each year for matriculation in the summer.

The radiologic technology program at Washburn University admits students in the fall of each year. Students receive an associate of science degree at the end of the 22-month program. Admission requirements include at least 12 units of college credit of which three must be from an anatomy course, two letters of recommendation, letter of intent addressing the provided questions and proof of a four-hour morning diagnostic radiology observation to be completed at a local health facility. Applicants must submit applications by February 1; the program admits only 25 applicants each year.

Applicants for the radiological technology program at Newman University must complete intermediate algebra, English composition and anatomy and physiology with lab before applying. Applicants must first apply and be accepted to the general university before they can apply to the program. Application requirements for the program include the application form, transcripts and an essay, which have a deadline of April 1. The program then selects students to interview before handing out final acceptance notices. Once accepted, students must have a physical exam to show proof of ability to perform clinical tasks and submit to a background check before matriculating in the summer. Students receive an associate degree in health science at completion.
