TechSkills training centers offers its pharmacy technician certificate program at its campuses in Cincinnati, Cleveland and Columbus, all of which carry a license to operate from the state of Ohio and accreditation from the Accrediting Council for Continuing Education & Training. Students at TechSkills can take as many classes toward the program at a time as they wish, provided they finish the program requirements within 10 to 12 months. The program includes courses in record keeping, inventory control, storage and maintenance of drugs and pharmacology. The school offers a one-attempt certification examination guarantee; if students do not pass their pharmacy technology certification test on their first try, TechSkills will pay for a second attempt.

Founded in 1980, Kaplan Career Institute is in Brooklyn, Ohio, a suburb of Cleveland and has the accreditation of the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology and licensing from the state of Ohio. The school offers a one-year diploma program for pharmacy technicians, which includes a mandatory internship in a retail or institutional pharmacy.
