Penn Foster offers a self-paced online pharmacy technician program that can be completed in less than one year. However, there is no set timetable for the completion of courses, so students have up to two years to finish. The program is based on 10 sets of instruction that teach students about the basics of pharmacy as well as advanced topics such as anatomy and infectious diseases. At the end of the program, students are given a review book and practice exam to prepare them for the National Pharmacy Technician Certification Examination. Penn Foster's programs are accredited by the Middle States Commission on Secondary Schools.
