This program also includes certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). The School of Radiologic Technology at Saint Luke’s Hospital offers a two-year training program in radiologic technology that combines both didactic classroom instruction and practical clinical demonstrations. Applicants must hold college-level prerequisite courses in algebra, anatomy, medical terminology and general education, with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or better. Students learn radiographic positioning techniques, radiation protection principles, imaging evaluation, patient care and basic first aid. This program also includes advanced imaging internships and hands-on training at eight different clinical sites.

Avila University is a Catholic-affiliated institution that offers a four-year Bachelor of Science program with a major in radiologic science. Three optional concentration areas are available: advanced clinical practice, education or management. All students complete general education courses in the liberal arts and sciences along with in-depth instruction in radiologic science and procedures, physics, radiologic biology and protection, imaging interpretation, anatomy and pathology.
