EKG Tech Programs in Kentucky or West Virginia

EKG is an acronym that stands for electrocardiography. An EKG is a noninvasive medical test that consists of attaching electrodes to a patient's chest in order to produce a graphic record of his cardiac cycle. It is often used for diagnostic purposes, such as measuring abnormal rhythms in a patient's heart rate or identifying pacemaker issues. Trained medical technicians with specialty education in electrocardiograph technology typically perform EKG testing in private clinics, hospitals and medical centers. Several schools in Kentucky and West Virginia offer training in EKG technology.
