The Manchester School of Architecture was created in 1996 as part of a collaborative effort between Manchester Metropolitan University and the University of Manchester. The school offers degrees at all levels from the bachelor's degree up through a doctorate. Graduate degree include a Master of Philosophy and Doctor of Philosophy in architectural studies. A newly added Master of Arts degree in architecture and urbanism is now part of the curriculum as well. The doctoral program is focused on several areas of study that include re-interpreting environmental design, scale in architecture, sensing the city (architecture and multi-sensory environments) and the sociology of architectural planning. The college is known to employ prominent architects and professionals in the field, in addition to the regular faculty, in order to enhance the education of the school's students through various seminars and workshops.

The Canterbury School of Architecture (CSA) is known for its interdisciplinary approach to the study of architecture. Also, located in the U.K., CSA is one school within the larger framework of the University for the Creative Arts. Both undergraduate and graduate degrees are offered by CSA. At the master's level, the Master of Arts degree can be pursued with one of three emphases, which include sustainable design and digital ekistics, advanced architectural design and urban planning.

The university offers a bachelor of science and a master of science degree in the field of architecture. In addition to these, more innovative degrees such as the bachelor of science in urbanism is also possible.
