Ranked at number one, The University of Iowa's Department of Speech Pathology and Audiology offers graduate and undergraduate programs for students who want a career in clinical service, teaching and research concerned with speech, language, or hearing processes and disorders. You can also take courses in other fields such as engineering, psychology, education, speech, theater arts, dentistry, and medicine aimed at studying speech and hearing processes and their related disorders.
Ranked at number two, Northwestern University's audiology and speech and language pathology programs are consistently ranked among the top five programs in the nation. The Roxelyn and Richard Pepper Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders provides undergraduate programs in human communication sciences and graduate and doctoral research programs in speech language pathology, learning disabilities, audiology, as well as a PhD in communication sciences and disorders.
