Brian Leiter's Law School Rankings ranked the top schools that the nation's most prestigious law firms hire from. The most recent ranking was conducted in 2008 and the results included:

The American Mock Trial Association serves as the governing body for intercollegiate mock trials, and hosts a national level competition between top law schools each year. Winners of the regional rounds advance to the ultimate round, the championship tournament. In the 2009-2010 season, the winner of the national championship was New York University and the runner-up was Harvard University.
The American Association for Justice holds an annual student trial advocacy competition. Regional finalists advance to the national competition. The 2010 winner was the University of Wisconsin and the runner up was Georgetown University.
