How to Add Schools to the FAFSA

The FAFSA, or Free Application for Federal Student Aid, is a federal application program to help students qualify for financial aid. To fill out the FAFSA, you must list the schools you are applying to on the form. If you already submitted your forms to FAFSA and your schools but later determine you need to add more schools, the online application allows you to add these schools.      Go to the FAFSA Add School link in the resources section of this article.

     Sign into your FAFSA account. You will need your FAFSA PIN number and your Social Security Number.

     Enter the schools you want to add once logged into your account. You can search by the school name to add the school. When you finish adding your schools, be sure to save your application.
