Click the "Start Here" button on the FAFSA website. Select "Print Signature Page" to print the signature page when you are finished with the FAFSA application.
Press the "Submit My Application Now" button when the signature page has successfully printed to access the FAFSA Confirmation page. Press "File" and then "Print" at the top of the confirmation page to print it for future reference.
Read the "Terms of Agreement" text box on the signature page, and then sign the page.
Write the address located underneath the "Federal Student Aid" listing on the signature page on the envelope. Put the page in an envelope, close and mail. FAFSA should mail you a verification letter within two to four weeks.
Visit the FAFSA website after you have completed the FAFSA application, and click the "Start Here" button. Provide your first and last name, Social Security number and date of birth to access your personal FAFSA homepage.
Click "Next" and go to the "On Hold -- Missing Signatures" tab. Click the "Provide Signature" button. Select the "Sign Electronically With My PIN" option, and click "Next." Refer to the four-digit PIN that you received when you initially sign up for student aid via e-mail or mail.
Enter the PIN, and check "Agree" in the "Terms of Agreement" box. Select the "Submit my FAFSA Now" option to submit your signature electronically.
Print the confirmation page for your records.
Wait two to four weeks for the Student Aid Report in the mail if you filled out the FAFSA paper application and mailed it in. The arrival of the SAR indicates that your FAFSA application has been processed.
Read the "Terms of Agreement" section on the SAR and provide a signature at the bottom of the application. Provide a parent signature if you were claimed you as a dependent on a parent's taxes.
Make a copy of the signed SAR, and mail the report back to the FAFSA headquarters to complete the signature process. Send the report to the address provided on the envelope that carried your SAR. Wait four to six weeks for a response.
