How to Complete the FAFSA 2009-10

Paying for college is a concern many families have when considering the potential cost and debt a student will incur while seeking to obtain a college degree. Also known as the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, the FAFSA allows students to apply for federal and state grants and loans. Organizations and schools may also use information provided on the FAFSA to determine a student's eligibility for scholarship funding. Note that you can no longer fill out the 2009-2010 FAFSA, as that school year has passed. However, if you need to fill out a 2009 FAFSA for past scholarship records or other purposes, you can request a paper copy of the FAFSA directly from the Federal Aid department. However, you will not be able to file your FAFSA with the office of Federal Student Aid.
