FAFSA is the acronym for "Free Application for Federal Student Aid." To get loans for school, each student in the United States must fill out one of these forms, which allows the government to determine your worthiness for school loans and scholarships based on you and your family's financial situation. The FAFSA PIN is a four-digit number that identifies your personal financial information once you have filled out the form. This PIN will apply to subsequent FASFA forms that have to be filled each year you apply for financial aid. Each applicant should keep her PIN in a safe place and never share it with anyone, as it gives access to private information. Should you lose your PIN, there is a way to retrieve it.
