How to Get a FAFSA Student Pin

A FAFSA PIN is a four-digit number used to electronically sign documents, access your FAFSA account information and allow you to make binding legal agreements. Applicants may select their own PIN numbers or allow FAFSA's PIN website to choose a number for them. Applicants can receive their PIN numbers in three ways: you may view your PIN number instantly via the confirmation page, receive your PIN number by email or ask that FAFSA mail your PIN number to you.
