    • The Ph.D. program in rhetoric and composition at Purdue University was formed in 1980. Graduates hold positions as writing teachers and graduate program faculty, and work in a number of other professions. The curriculum requires five core courses, a secondary program focus and a linguistics seminar. Core classes include introduction to composition theory and issues in modern contemporary studies.
