PhD Programs in Rhetoric

Universities throughout the United States host Ph.D. programs in rhetoric. These programs train students to study manipulations and uses of language in all aspects of day-to-day life. Doctoral students in rhetoric look at political campaigns, advertisements and popular culture to determine how language is used to create responses in listeners.
