Agriculture Education Scholarships

The consensus is that the United States government, agricultural companies, and Farmer's Associations that award agricultural education scholarships do so out of personal interest, financial considerations, business prospects, and greed. The truth is, however, that the United States is a large, self-sustaining nation in need of a large agrarian population to provide it with the sustenance it needs. Scholarships for agricultural education ensure the continuation of farming communities.

    • The United States Department of Agriculture provides scholarships for students of agriculture, food, or natural resource sciences who attend or plan to attend one of seventeen 1890 Historically Black Land-Grant Institutions under the auspices of the USDA/1890 National Scholars Program. The scholarship covers more than a dozen fields of study within the general areas listed above, and is available to graduating high school seniors through college juniors. Students at non-approved colleges or universities are eligible with proof of intent to transfer to an approved institution.
