Alameda Beauty College, an accredited beauty school in the San Francisco Bay area, offers both full-time and part-time courses in hairstyling, makeup, nails, hair coloring, hair cutting and skin care, as well as the business aspects of cosmetology. Enrollment begins by contacting the college for a tour and one-on-one guidance with an adviser in course options and financial aid. Because Alameda Beauty College is accredited by the National Accrediting Commission of Cosmetology Arts and Science, its students may apply for grants and government loans to cover the cost of schooling. The cosmetology program can be completed in as few as 14 months and includes preparation for the state licensing exam.
