Colleges in Florida for Cosmetology

The State of Florida Agency for Workforce Innovation predicts that the demand for hairdressers, hair stylists, and cosmetologists in the state will increase by more than 11 percent from 2009 through 2017. Entry into the field of cosmetology requires a state-issued license. To qualify for the licensing exam, prospective cosmetologists must first complete a formal training program. A number of colleges in Florida offer programs in cosmetology, providing students with the opportunity to learn through classroom instruction and hands-on practice.
