The Community College of Philadelphia has a clinical laboratory technician program that trains students to become technicians in settings that include physician offices, hospitals, pharmaceutical companies and other private laboratory settings. This program at Community College of Philadelphia holds its accreditation by the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS). Students can complete this program in two years and will receive their Associate of Applied Science degree at graduation. Within the program, there is also a course that lasts for one semester and leads to students earning a certificate in phlebotomy upon successful passage; these students are then eligible to take the PBT certification exam from the NAACLS to become a certified phlebotomy technician.

Alexandria Technical College offers a medical laboratory technician program that trains students to enter the medical field as laboratory technicians with technical skills in phlebotomy, hematology, microbiology and body fluid analysis. The program is accredited by the NAACLS and leads students to earn an Associate of Applied Science degree at graduation. Students take courses that include survey of anatomy and physiology, basic lab techniques, diagnostic microbiology and clinical urinalysis. Students who graduate from the program will be able to take examinations that are administered by the American Society for Clinical Pathology and the National Certification Agency for Medical Laboratory Personnel.

Bates Technical College has a dental lab technician program where the instructors that lead the classes are certified as dental technicians. It is the only program of its kind in the state of Washington to be full accredited by the American Dental Association (ADA). Bates Technical College has an open-entry policy, which means that students can enroll in the program at any time and will be able to complete it at their own pace. Students are trained in dentures, partial dentures, orthodontics, porcelain work, and crowns and bridges. Classes are held during the weekdays (Monday through Friday) from 7:15 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Students who are in their second year of study have the option to work in a local dental laboratory in order to meet the requirements for the work-based learning experiences. This program can be completed in two years and students will receive their Associate of Technology degree upon completion.
