The University of Alberta's speech-language pathology and audiology program leads to a Master of Science degree. This program is designed for the acceptance of students with a bachelor’s degree in psychology, linguistics or a related field. Students complete the program in two years and choose from pursuing the course-based option or the thesis-based option. Courses include anatomy and psychology of the speech mechanism, phonologic disorders, child language development and assessment and motor speech disorders.

Dalhousie University has a full-time, three-year Master of Science audiology program. Students have an option to apply towards the thesis track within this program or to remain in the non-thesis option. Three students are admitted into the thesis track each year. Courses include fundamentals of speech science, speech and language acquisition, introduction to audiology and speech-language pathology and introduction to neurosciences for communication disorders.

The University of Western Ontario's audiology program leads to a master's degree. Students in this program take no more than five courses at one time, not including the clinical practicum. Courses include acoustics and instrumentation systems, hearing measurement, electrophysiology and introduction to amplification for the hearing impaired.

The University of British Columbia's audiology program leads to a Master of Science degree. Depending on the student’s preparation at the undergraduate level, he can expect to complete the program in 24 to 36 months. In addition to the coursework, students are required to complete five externships. There is the option of transferring into the Ph.D. program after completing one year of the master’s degree program. Courses include fundamentals of audiology, introduction to communication disorders, speech perception and aural rehabilitation.
