The Air Force ROTC program at Auburn University allows students to train for a commission in the Air Force while earning a degree from one of the many schools within the university. ROTC Cadets may choose from undergraduate degrees from more than 10 schools, including agriculture, architecture, business, education, engineering, forestry and wildlife services, human sciences, liberal arts, nursing, and sciences and mathematics. Under the ROTC program, cadets are required to participate in Leadership Laboratory, Physical Training and Aerospace courses during their time at the university. The program also offers extracurricular activities such as a freshman rafting trip, inter-service sports competitions and a mentoring program.

The University of Colorado offers an Air Force ROTC program that allows students to attend courses at satellite campuses throughout the area, giving them an option to choose a campus that best fits their needs. The ROTC Detachment 105 unit has agreements with 11 colleges throughout Colorado that allows students at the campuses to combine their studies with Air Force training. While students may pursue any of the university's degree programs, degrees in the technical or scientific fields including health care, mathematics, engineering, physics and computer science are encouraged. ROTC Cadets also attend field training exercises and have the opportunity to participate in intramural sports, color guard, drill team and band; in addition, visits to Air Force bases throughout the country are arranged to give cadets a glimpse into life in the Air Force.

Referred to as The Flying Tigers, the Air Force ROTC program offered by Boston University allows students from colleges in the greater Boston area to enroll in the program through crosstown enrollment agreements. In addition to their degree courses, cadets are required to attend Air Force courses and Leadership Laboratories throughout their studies. Students may choose from a number of degree programs offered by the separate schools within the university including arts and sciences, communication, engineering, fine arts, general studies, health and rehabilitation sciences, education, hospitality administration, law, management, social work, theology and military education.
