Nationally Accredited MBA Programs

Higher learning institutions are often either regionally accredited or nationally accredited, with the latter commonly seen as more flexible and lenient when it comes to their admissions criteria. The three major national accrediting organizations are the Distance Education & Training Council (DETC), the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology (ACCSCT) and the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges & Schools (ACICS). There are more than a dozen MBA programs around the country that have been nationally accredited by one of these organizations.
  1. American Graduate University

    • This DETC-rated program is taken completely online and requires that all students have a bachelor's degree prior to enrolling. However, the bachelor's degree does not necessarily have to be in the same area of study. Both U.S. and international students are accepted. The purpose of the program is to offer a broad-based education on the administration and operations of business to working professionals who are looking to advance their careers. Students will gain a structured knowledge of standard management practices and principles, an understanding of the ever-shifting business landscape, and critical skills in areas like analysis and communication. In order to graduate, each student must complete 48 semester units worth of coursework and one final, pre-approved project.
