The four-semester Kinesiology--Coaching Education master's program at Georgia Southern is designed both for those who wish to become coaches and for experienced coaches who want to increase their knowledge and skills. The program is offered completely online and includes coursework in athletic training, coaching effectiveness, performance enhancement and coaching administration. Note that this is a cohort program (you'll be taking courses with the same people throughout), and it begins only in May for a summer term.

The University of Wyoming's Division of Kinesiology and Health offers a flexible M.S. degree available on- or off-campus, on a full- or part-time basis, in either a thesis or non-thesis track. The program requires 36 credit hours of coursework (about 12 classes). You can choose a specialization in exercise and sport science; health promotion and education; or physical education teacher education.

The UT TeleCampus allows you to earn an M.S. in kinesiology completely online from the University of Texas at El Paso, Pan American, Permian Basin or Tyler. To enroll, you must apply to one of those four schools and be admitted; once matriculated, you can take courses sponsored by any of the four schools to complete the degree requirements. All four institutions require 36 credit hours (about 12 courses, chosen from a list of 19); whether you will have to do a practicum, write a thesis, or take oral or written comprehensive exams depends on which campus you become affiliated with (see UT TeleCampus Kinesiology Courses in "Resources" for details).
