Online Kinesiology Degrees

Kinesiology is the study of human movement. It is a relevant field for sports doctors, physical therapists, and community sports directors, but also a vital subject area for athletic coaches. At least 11 universities offer online master's programs in kinesiology and related subjects (where it is sometimes known as exercise science, injury prevention, or coaching science), and a few additional schools offer certificates. One institution offers an online PhD program in kinesiology.
  1. Georgia Southern University

    • The four-semester Kinesiology--Coaching Education master's program at Georgia Southern is designed both for those who wish to become coaches and for experienced coaches who want to increase their knowledge and skills. The program is offered completely online and includes coursework in athletic training, coaching effectiveness, performance enhancement and coaching administration. Note that this is a cohort program (you'll be taking courses with the same people throughout), and it begins only in May for a summer term.
