Registered Nurses (RNs) who want to work in pediatrics need a Bachelor of Science in nursing (BSN). Some hospitals require RNs in pediatric units to have a master’s degree in nursing (MSN), but this is often not necessary. To work as a pediatric nurse practitioner, you must have an MSN.
