In 2010, US News & World Report published a list of the top 10 medical research schools in the United States. The magazine based its rankings on research activity and the assessments of residency directors, school deans and heads of internal medicine. The highest scoring school received a score of 100. The scores of the other schools were based on a percentage of the of the top school.
