Naturopathic Doctor Programs

Naturopathic medicine focuses on preventative measures to health and wellness, as well as a holistic, noninvasive approach to healing. Individuals that are interested in obtaining a naturopathic doctor degree are required to attend an approved graduate program that includes nutrition, acupuncture, homeopathic medicine, botanical medicine and counseling as part of the curriculum, in addition to the regular medical curriculum. The 4-year naturopathic doctoral program is the most common educational path to obtaining the knowledge and experience to prepare to become a naturopathic doctor, but some educational institutes also offer a 6-year option as well.
