The University of Texas School of Nursing at Houston was established in 1972 as a branch of the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. Students take classes and perform clinical hours and other medical practice at Texas Medical Center in Houston. The school enrolls a total of 800 students each year with approximately 300 of those students that graduate annually. Nursing students can earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, a Master of Science in Nursing, a Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing or a Doctor of Nursing Practice.
The University of Texas School of Nursing at Austin was established as part of the University of Texas at Austin in 1883, a school that is well-known for The University of Texas Tower, a landmark that was intended to symbolize academic excellence and personal opportunity. The School of Nursing enrolls an average of 1000 students each year and employs 141 teaching faculty.

The University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio School of Nursing is located in its namesake city, San Antonio, Texas. Students will have a unique learning experience, as UT Health Science Center San Antonio is the only research university in South Texas. The school offers a Bachelor of Science in Nursing through traditional and accelerated tracks, a Master of Science in Nursing with two majors in Clinical Nurse Leader and Administrative Management, an Alternate Entry Masters Degree which includes only one of the aforementioned majors, a Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing and a Doctor of Nursing Practice.
The College of Nursing at the University of Texas Arlington College is located on a 300-acre campus in the Dallas/Fort Worth metro area. The school was originally named the University of Texas School of Nursing when it was established in 1890. A complete Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree program was established in 1940 and its current name was approved in January 2010. The College of Nursing now offers degrees in Bachelor of Science of Nursing, RN to Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Masters of Science in Nursing and Doctoral Nursing Education. Student to teacher ratios are kept low because the school only enrolls 100 new nursing students per semester.
