Law Schools in Wisconsin

The state of Wisconsin has two law schools, one as part of their state university system, the other a private university. Wisconsin's law schools are considered excellent, although not as prestigious as many of the Ivy League law schools. Graduates of both law schools in Wisconsin have proven themselves in their careers, with appointments to the U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals and many federal judgeships. For students looking to practice law in the Upper Midwest region--Illinois, Iowa, Wisconsin and Minnesota--graduates from these two schools are highly recruited, with nearly two-thirds of their graduates going on to work in the region.
