Freshmen applicants must submit a completed application, which can be completed online. Additional required documents are an official high school transcript, ACT or SAT scores and immunization records.
Transfer students must be in good standing at the last college or university attended with a cumulative G.P.A. of at least 2.0. You must submit a transfer application, transcripts from each college or university attended, and immunization records.
International applicants should have an ACT score of at least 18 or an combined SAT score of at least 880. The required TOEFL score should not be less than 525 (W) or 194 (C). International students must submit an application, translations of all transcripts or diplomas and immunization records. International students may also be asked to prove financial ability to study for a full year in the United States.
If you are over 21, you may register for up to 12 credits of coursework. If under 21, with no high school degree, you must show proof of GED scores and any transcripts. The submission of ACT and SAT scores are also encouraged. An on campus interview may be required.
The Division of Graduate Studies requires a graduate application, two official transcripts from all colleges or universities attended, immunization records, and an application fee. If you are an international applicant, please send your TOEFL scores as well. Send your graduate examination test scores, three letters of recommendation, and other specific required materials to your individual academic department.
If you are a former student at JSU and would like to return, complete the Special Application for Readmission. In addition, submit official transcripts from all schools attended since JSU.
